TDP leader dismisses media reports

Hyderabad, Sep 17 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Legislative Deputy Leader T Devendar Goud today dismissed reports in a section of the media that he held secret talks with Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) ideologue Professor Jayashankar.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Goud said it was true that Mr Jayashankar met him on January 27, 2006, while he was on a padayatra and had exchanged views.

Mr Goud said there was no rule that leaders representing two different political ideologies should never meet and exchange views.

Dismissing the reports that there was a political significance behind the meeting, Mr Goud said the media at times over reacts to certain situation.
