Tamil movie released in Port Blair

Port Blair, Sep 17 (UNI) Candra Communication's second Tamil film "Karaioram" has been released in Port Blair, the capital town of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The movie - packed with love scenes, comedy, action and two unforgettable duet songs - is fully shot in the remote archipelago of Andaman and Nicobar Islands with limited resources.

All the artists of this film are from these islands. Editing&Dubbing of voice, background music and all the other technical works were done by the Islands technicians, said Captain K, owner of the Chandra Communication.

Captain K, the brain behind the local Tamil movie, released his first Tamil film "Koram" a year ago under the banner of the Chandra Communication, which was taken hand in hand by the Tamilian people of these islanders.

"This time we have used more advance softwares, cameras and technologies. The output has come out well, much much better than my last film," said Captain K, who wrote the story and screenplay, and did all the camera and editing works.

The film is directed by Mr Anbu Alagar Swamy, while Mr Avinash -- a participant of popular TV reality show "Hero Honda SA RE GA MA PA" -- has given music for the film. The film is produced by V Murugan.

Long back Captain K has made a series of Hindi video films in Andaman on experimental basis, some of them are Koshish, Kasam Kala Pani Ki, Karam. "K" being his signature, all the films of Captain K start with the word K.

"Movie made in these islands of course could not be compared with movies, made in mainland India. This is just a decent beginning and films made in these islands for local viewers have to go a long way," he said after the press premier show in Port Blair late evening.

"This film has further scope for perfection but this could not be expected in local films so early. With time movies made in these islands could also compete with films made in mainland," said S P Elango, editor of local daily newspaper of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The low budget film of nearly two-hour duration would be screened in different remote islands of Andaman and Nicobar Islands for earning profit. "More than a business, film making is a passion for my team. We are just looking to get back the money we have spent to shoot it," said Captain K.
