Sha Rukh Khan against "A" certificate for smoking scene in a film

Bangalore, Sep 17(UNI) Bollywood superstar Sha Rukh Khan today opposed the proposal of branding a Film with smoking scene under the category of 'A' Certificate by the Censor Board.

Speaking on the sidelines of releasing BIOMAb-EGFR, an innovative and cutting edge drug against neck and head cancer developed by the country's premier Biotech Company, BIOCON, here he said that while he was personally against it if it was enforced one has to obey it as a law abiding citizen of the country.

Describing the idea to categorise those cinemas which depicts the smoking scenes as 'Cultural invasion and undemocratic' Mr Khan said that it is not good on the part of those who were thinking on this line.

Mr Khan, who himself a chain smoker, however said that he is trying to give up smoking and moving slowly on its direction.

Replying to questions about his next movie, Mr Khan said that he is working on a movie which focuses on status of Indian Women who were getting a raw-deal in our society. "Treatment of women in India was not justified in many times and the same would be depicted in its real sense" he added.
