To Start receiving timely alerts please follow the below steps:

Faridkot, Sep 17 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president and former MP Simranjeet Singh Mann was taken into police custody at Kotkapura alongwith 150 party workers as a preventive step.

According to police sources, the step was taken to avert a possible clash between SAD (A) and SAD (Badal), which was holding a political conference at village Guru Ki Dhan in the adjoining Bathinda district.

Mr Mann and his supporters were heading for the village when they were stopped by the police.
