Rains predicted in Lakshadweep, Konkan, Goa, Orissa

Pune, Sep 17(UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and active in Saurashtra and Kutch and Kerala. It has been subdued over Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Lakshadweep and Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, coastal Karnataka and Kerala and at many places in Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra and Andaman and Nicobar.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Saurashtra and Kutch, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at many places in Rayalaseema.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, west Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andaman and Nicobar and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Haryana, Punjab, Himalchal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka.
