Property worth Rs 10 cr destroyed in fire

Bangalore, Sep 17 (UNI) A major fire broke out at a TV manufacturing unit at Avalahalli, 25 kms from here, last night, destroying materials worth over Rs 10 crore, police today said.

Police said over 20 fire tenders fought for more than three hours to extinguish the fire.

The fire, caused due to short circuit, first started in the first floor and spread to other two floors of the BPL TV manufacturing unit.

Machinery and other raw-materials kept in the premises were completely destroyed.
