No rains in Kolkata for next 24 hours

Kolkata, Sep 17 (UNI) The Kolkatans today experienced hot and humid weather with no rains for the last few days.

The Met department forecast generally cloudy sky with a few drizzles at isolated places.

Sources said rains and thundershower may occur at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Orissa, Sikkim and Andaman islands.

There would be no rainfall in the next 24 hours, weathermen said.

The maximum temperature was recorded today at 34 degree Celsius and the minimum 27 degree Celsius.

The relative humidity, however, today took a dip from yesterday's 97 to 92 per cent.
