Nitish emphasises news agencies' role

Rajgir, Sep 17(UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today emphasised the role of news agencies in disseminating news and help generate awareness among the people about welfare schemes and benefits offered by the government.

Delivering the inaugural address of nation council session of PTI employees' Federation here, Mr Kumar also stressed on presentation of facts in true perspective.

In the present era of information revolution, media in general is facing challenges from various quarters and they need to address them collectively, he suggested.

Mr Kumar outlined the projects launched by the government for meeting the deadline of making India a developed country by the year 2020 and reaffirmed the determination of the government to accelerate the pace of development in Bihar to bring the state to the level of advanced regions in the country.
