Naxals slain
Jagdalpur, Sep 17 (UNI) A naxal was slain, while two were feared dead in a police encounter at Kodakhedi forest in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district, police said today.
Inspector General of Police (IG) P J Langkumer told UNI here that Vikas' body was recovered, while the bodies of other naxals were reportedly carried away by their friends.
The deceased ultra was the chief of Maharashtra's Gadh Chirauli area.
A pool of blood on the spot indicated five-six naxals had sustained injuries.
A diary, containing details in Telugu language, was seized from the deceased ultra.
A rifle and sixteen cartridges were seized from the spot.
In a separate incident, two naxals were injured during a police encounter at Manded area in Dantewara district.
