Muslim Brotherhood says Pope's apology sufficient
CAIRO, Sep 17: Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood said Pope Benedict's apology today for remarks on Islam was sufficient.
''We consider that the new statements represent a retreat from what went before. We can consider them a sufficient apology, even if we had wanted the Pope to outline his ideas and vision of Islam,'' Brotherhood deputy leader Mohammed Habib told Reuters.
The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is a political Islamist opposition group which has inspired similar movements across the Arab world.
