MTNL initiates customers' building measures

New Delhi, Sep 17: In a bid to improve its communication with the customers as it is facing stiff competition from rival operators, State-owned telecom major Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has launched an e-newsletter -- MTNL Buddy.

MTNL Buddy, an electronic form of letter, would be delivered through email to the MTNL customers by the 15th of every month.

''This e-newsletter will communicate with the customers in a better way and keep them updated with the latest products and service offerings, news and events of the company,'' MTNL CMD R S P Sinha told reporters.

MTNL Buddy will contain a lead story along with regular features like spotlight on the company, tip of the month, schemes/product of the month, highlighting its plans, initiatives, accomplishments and services.

Mr Sinha presented awards to the winners of the tele-quiz and feedback poll for its inaugural issue on the Independence Day.

The winners were given a Nokia handset with a Jeevan Sathi Prepaid Trump connections.
