Materials worth Rs 10 Cr destroyed in a fire mishap

Bangalore, Sep 17(UNI) In a major fire in BPL TV manufacturing unit at Avalahalli, materials worth over Rs 10 crore were destroyed in Hoskote, 25 km from here, last night.

Police said that over 20 fire tenders fought for more than three hours to extinguish the fire.

The fire, caused due to short circuit, was first started in the first floor and it spread to other two floors. Machineries and other raw-materials kept in the premises were completely destroyed.

However, no casualty was reported.
