IC998 Bahrain-Kochi flight develops snag, diverted to Mumbai

Kochi, Sep 17 (UNI) Indian flight IC998 on a Bahrain-Kozhikode-Kochi route developed a snag en route to Kozhikode and was diverted to Mumbai, where it landed safely this morning, airport sources here said.

While not giving any details about the ''technical snag'', the sources said the flight landed safely, though its Kerala segment had to be cancelled.

As a result, IC166 from here to Delhi via Mumbai had to be cancelled and the passengers accommodated on other Indian and other domestic airline flights, Nedumbassery International Airport terminal officials said.
