Hindu idols made by Muslims
Betul (MP), Sep 17: As a glowing example of communal harmony, a Muslim family belonging to Karnataka has been making a living creating idols of different religions' deities and images of towering personalities for the past five decades.
Fifty-five-year-old Sheikh Babu Miyan can be observed toiling at the local chowk. Customers bring old vessels of brass, copper, bronze, etc that are melted in a furnace. A product earns anywhere between Rs 30 and Rs 250.
The uncle-nephew team has toured Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Goa and Jammu and Kashmir besides several other states.
