Govt prepares blueprint on development of Telangana

Hyderabad, Sep 17 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government has come out with a comprehensive blueprint on the all-round development of Telangana region.

Interacting with senior officials here today to discuss the draft blueprint on the ''Development and People's Participation'', comprising the region-wise details of developmental programmes undertaken in the last 27 months and ones to be made in the coming years, Dr Reddy said blueprints with regard to development of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema would be prepared soon.

An aggressive and awareness campaign on the developmental and welfare programmes undertaken by the government will also be launched soon.

Under the campaign, awareness camps, exhibitions and distribution of pamphlets would be carried out at village level to educate people on the benefits of the government's schemes.

Apart from this, audio-visual cassettes and cost effective media publicity through print and electronic media would be undertaken to disseminate information to people.

Dr Reddy had directed the Departments of Information and Public Relations, Revenue, Power, Panchayati Raj, Housing and Irrigation to undertake the campaign.

''I will interact with the people and local public representatives personally, to understand the problems and progress made in implementing various welfare and developmental programmes'', he added.
