Final electoral rolls to be published on January three

Imphal, Sep 17 (UNI) Chief Electoral Officer R R Rahmi today said the final electoral rolls will be published on January three.

The next Assembly election is scheduled to be held within four to five months.

The CEO said preparatory work for the electoral rolls will be completed by October 10. Draft publication of the electoral rolls will be completed on October 16.

Disposal of claims and objections will be over by November 30.

Preparation and printing of the supplements of additions, deletions and corrections and preparation will be completed by December 3 and final rolls will be published on January 3.

The draft publication of Electoral Rolls will be made on October 16. The draft electoral rolls of all the 60 Assembly constituencies will be uploaded in CEO's official website: www.ceomani.our.nic.in and the same will also be linked up to EC's website: www.eci.gov.in and will be made available for public view.
