Engineering student attempts suicide in AP

Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh Sept 17 (UNI) A first year engineering student of Narayana Engineering college, a victim of ragging, had attempted to commit suicide at his residence here today.

Police said the seniors of Mr Kartik were ragging and harassing him at the college hostel for several days.

Kartik, who came to his house last night from his college in Nellore, attempted to take the extreme step.

He was admitted to Government Hospital here and was out of danger, police added.
