Egypt to host next NAM Summit in 2009

Havana, Sep 17: Egypt will host the next summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in 2009.

This was decided at the 14th Summit of the 116-member grouping here today.

Egypt will take over as Chairman of NAM at the next summit to succeed Cuba, which has just assumed the responsibility for the coming three years.
