Colourful and maverick, they also play tennis!

Kolkata, Sep 17 (UNI) The top five seeds of Sunfeast Open are not only talented but also colourful personalities who enjoy Hindi films, taking walks with Alex or just being shopaholics.

The leading lady of the meet -- Martina Hingis -- may be known for a lot of things, but the fact that she loves shopping is a facet that just be ignored considering the fashion statement she oozes on the court.

Coached by mother Melanie Monitor, Martina began skiing and playing tennis from the age of two. While the fashion conscious the Swiss Miss loves visiting Paris, Zurich and New York, she remembers the victory at Filderstadt in 1996 as the most memorable title.

Immortalised in wax at the famous Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in London, she has been invited to Academy Awards by famous Swiss director Arthur Cohn (Central Station).

She enjoys going to musicals (favorites are Miss Saigon and Lion King) and shopping, with favorite designers Gucci, D and Roberto Cavalli topping the list.

For Aravane Rezai, the French lass of Iranian origin, spreads a hue of different colour. She has a parrot and enjoys Bollywood movies. She speaks Persian, French and English and aims to be in the top 10 at some point soon.

For Croat Carolina Sprem walking with her dog and listening to music gives her a separate high. She feels turning a pro takes a toll on keeping friendship. Her favourites are maverick as her game.

It ranges from pasta, roses, to Notting Hill and Pearl Harbor, from actor Angelina Jolie to colors pink and red. Ukranian Yuliana Fedak is equally nonconforming. Apart from taking a walk with her cat named Alex, her favourites include orange, red and pink colours.

She loves roses, Richard Gere and potatoes and relaxes reading.

Like the other girls, Hungarian Melinda Czink loves spending time with her two pet cats and loves to watch Al Pacino and Robert de Nero films. She freaks on Hungarian food and would love to spent a vacation in Italy or New York or Florida.

Our very own Sania Mirza is a huge fan of Brad Pitt and Hugh Grant. And while tennis is where her heart lies, she takes active interest in cricket and swimming.
