Coalition government ready to face the opposition in the Session

Mysore, Sept 17 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said that his government is ready to face the opposition if it raises the alleged Rs 150 Crore 'Mining Bribery' issue in the Special Session of the Legislature scheduled to be held in Belgaum from September 25 to 29.

Talking to newsmen at the helipad here, he said that "the Janata Dal (Secular) and Bharatiya Janata Party coalition government is ready to face the opposition in both the houses on the suspended BJP Council member Janardhana Reddy's alleged Rs 150 Crore 'Mining Bribery' issue." Replying to a question, he said that official invitation was extended to the Governor T N Chaturvedi to address the joint session but the communication of his (Mr Chaturvedi) not addressing was not yet received by the government.

To another question about Opposition Congress party submitting a memorandum to the Governor demanding dismissal of the Coalition government following 'Mining Bribery' charges, Mr Kumaraswamy said that "as opposition they have done their duty and it is usual." About fielding of party candidate for Chamundieswari Assembly Constituency fallen vacant following resignation of former Deputy Chief Minister S Siddaramaiah after joining the Congress quitting JD(S), Mr Kumaraswamy said that the party would take a decision at appropriate time.
