Amitabh's mother-in-law perturbed over media reports

Bhopal, Sep 17 (UNI) MP Jaya Bachchan's mother Indira Bhaduri is perturbed over the names of her daughter and son-in-law Amitabh being mentioned in the context of a Municipal Corporation demolition of an alleged encroachment in front of the MPs flat in the Shyamla Hills locality.

''A section of the press is unnecessarily raking up their names.

The apartments were built by the Ansal Group and encroachment was removed from several flats in the basement. To the best of my knowledge the matter is sub judice in the Supreme Court and the Corporation ought not to have acted thus,'' she told UNI today.

Responding to a question about Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Narayan Tripathi alleging political interference, she said, ''that may be his view. As far as removal of encroachment is concerned, such action was taken against several other residents of the colony also.'' SP legislators intend to meet Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tomorrow. At a press conference here yesterday, the SP alleged that the Bachchan family was being targeted. Ms Bhaduri was also present.
