Youth arrested for abducting minor girl in AP

Hyderabad, Sep 16 (UNI) The city police today arrested a youth on the charge of kidnapping a minor girl and keeping her in confinement.

According to police, Srikant, a married man and residing in Ramnagar, convinced the girl studying in eighth standard that he was in love with her.

After seducing the girl, the youth along with a driver took her to Nandyal in Kurnool district and kept her in confinement for 15 days. Srikant married the girl when she insisted on marriage.

After coming to know that Srikant was already married, the girl escaped and reported the matter to her parents.

On a complaint from the girl's parents, police arrested Srikant.
