Temperatures dip in HP as clouds keep sun in wraps

Shimla, Sep 16 (UNI) Minimum and maximum temperatures in several mid and low hills of Himachal Pradesh continued to dip with no report of rain or snow from any part of the state during the last 24 hourrs, the met office today said.

Almost all places in the state received no rain or snowfall till 0830 hours this morning, providing respite from the wet conditions.

The sky over Shimla and other adjoining areas was clear in the kmorning before clouds covered the sun but later cleared as the day progressed.

However, night and day temperatures in the state capital were plummeting with people being forced to use their woolens.

Shimla recorded a night temperature of 14.2 degrees celsive and day temperature of 22.8, while Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded night temperatures of 17.1 and 14 degrees Celsius respectively.

Kalpa in Kinnuar district recorded a night temperature of 6.7 degrees celsivs as compared to 8.1 recorded yesterday.

The met office has predicted rain or thundershowers at isolated places in the state during the next 24 hours.
