Syndicate Bank's debit cardholders cross one million mark

Bangalore, Sep 16 (UNI) Public sector Syndicate Bank has crossed the one million mark in issuance of global debit cards, launched in association with VISA.

The debit cards have global acceptance at all the bank's over 450 Automated Teller Machines, over 18,000 ATMs under the VISA network in the country and over one million worldwide, besides 2,000 under the Cashtree network, a bank release here said today.

To celebrate the achievement, the bank had launched a special programme from today to March 15, 2007, to reward its debit cardholders. Card holders spending Rs 15,000 or more through debit cards at merchant establishments during the campaign period would be entitled to encashable reward points and those spending Rs 30,000 or more would be entitled to over 275 prizes, the release said.
