Suresh Krishna annexes boys single title

Chennai, Sep 16 (UNI) Unseeded A S Suresh Krishna capped his fine form to annex the boy's singles title, while Wild card entrant Kyra Shroff lifted the girls singles title in the Wilson-TTT ITF Junior tennis championship here today.

In the finals, Suresh lowered the colours of fifth seed Priyank Gangadharan 6-1, 6-3, while Kyra put paid to the hopes of another wild card entrant Rashmi Teltumbde 6-1, 6-2.

Results Under-18 finals: Singles : Boys: A S Suresh Krishna bt Priyank Gangadharan 6-1, 6-3.

Girls: Kyra Shroff bt Rashmi Teltumbde 6-1, 6-2.

Doubles: (Boys): Tariq Jacob/Sriram Balaji bt Yasumi Keijiro/Navaneetha Kannan 6-7(5), 4-1 (conceded).

Girls: Kelsey Sundaram/Kyra Shroff bt Nandita Krishnan/Unnati Purushotham 6-4, 6-3.
