Spl package for former Godrej employees

Chittoor, Sep 16: The out-going management of Nutrine Confectionery which was taken over by Godrej Groups of Industry, today announced Rs 5.64 crore special package for workers besides provision of house sites.

The take over was signed for Rs 250 crore recently.

The Nutrine Factory, setup in 1953, had a humble begining supplying Mithayulu to locals. It grew into major confectionery factory in the country having an annual turnover of Rs 650 crore.

The outgoing chairman Dwarakanatha Reddy, managing directors Vikram Reddy, Madhusudhana Reddy and Dinesh Reddy at a joint press meet here, announced that each employee with a minimum of three years of service would get a package ranging over Rs 15,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh depending on the seniority.

Employees in categories I to IV would be provided house sites and 400 retired employees would get the same benefit, they added.
