Seven years' rigorous imprisonment for rapist

New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) A man, who offered a school student a lift in his car but kidnapped and raped her, was today sentenced to seven-year rigorous imprisonment by a city court.

Additional Sessions Judge B R Kodia also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on Anthony, a resident of Kishenganj.

The court examined 16 witnesses in the case.

The victim, a 14-year-old girl, was on way to take tuition on February 23, 2004 when Anthony had offered her a lift in his car.
