SAD Manifesto Committee meeting held

Chandigarh, Sep 16 (UNI) A meeting of the Manifesto Committee of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) was held here today under the Chairmanship of Mr Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa (MP), Chairman of the Committee.

Besides Mr Dhindsa others who attended the meeting were Mr Gurdev Singh Badal, Mr Balwinder Singh Bhunder, Capt Kanwaljit Singh, Mr Jathedar Tota Singh and Dr Daljit Singh Cheema.

After the meeting, Mr Dhindsa said the Committee examined the suggestions sent by various trade and business associations.

''In order to have more suggestions from the people, we have formed various sub-committees,'' he added. He said all members of the committee have been assigned a specific task to interact with people from various walks of life and to collect their suggestions.

Giving details of these sub-committees Mr Dhindsa, said that party leaders Ranjit Singh Brahmpura and Mr Bhunder would interact with persons concerned with agriculture and cooperative departments.

Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal (MP), Mr Naresh Gujral and Jathedar Tota Singh will study problems of industry, trade, unemployment and youth. The problems of employees will be taken care of by Capt Kanwaljit Singh and Dr Daljit Singh Cheema.

After collecting all the suggestions, the Committee would submit its report to the Political Affairs Committee of the party for approval, he added. The manifesto of the party for the assembly polls to be held next year would be prepared accordingly,he said.
