RJD leader shot dead

Buxar, Sep 16 (UNI) RJD leader Mohan, alias Ramdhari, was killed by a gang of robbers after they fired at his vehicle on the National Highway 30 at Paramdi village here last night, police said today.

District Police Superintendent Paresh Saxena said Mr Mohan, accompanied by several party colleagues, was returning home from Patna after attending a party rally when he fell to assailants' bullets.

However, other partymen managed to escape.

Mr Mohan was the party's general secretary in Kaimur district.

The robbers had planted nails on the Highway to stop passing vehicles. As the victim's car fell into the trap, Mr Mohan and his colleagues alighted from the vehicle and the assailants opened fire at them, Mr Saxena said.
