Raising retirement age of govt employees under consideration

Jalandhar, Sep 16 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said the issue of raising of retirement age of state government employees from 58 to 60 years was still under for consideration.

Talking to reporters at Nadala village in Kapurthala district, Capt Singh said decision on several employees-related issues, including that of retirement age, were pending for decision.

He said these issues could be decided by the cabinet, in consultations with experts and employees associations after taking into account all aspects including financial implications.
