Privileges Committee protocol for VVIPs visiting temple
Tirupati, Sep 16 (UNI) The 15-member Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Priveleges Committee, headed by Gade Venkata Reddy today met Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) officials and district administration officials, and discussed the observation of protocol to legislators visiting the temple of Lord Venkateswara.
Later, talking to newspersons, Mr Reddy said as per the Government Order (GO), no privilege can be extended to District Collector, Superintendent of Police (SP), local MLA and MP to enter the temple through the main entrance along with VVIPs.
He directed the TTD officials to accept letters from VIPs and arrange darshan for the pilgrims without any inconvenience.
Mr Reddy said on a request from the local Tirupati MLA, M Venkataramana, the committee has suggest to the assembly Speaker to permit the local MLA and MP to enter the temple through the main entrance along with VVIPs, including Chief Minister and Governor.
