Police official arrested for rape

Shillong, Sep 16 (UNI) A Meghalaya police Sub-Inspector was arrested for his alleged involvement in a rape case.

The accused, John R Marak, was taken into custody last night from a hotel here following a complaint lodged by a woman, police said.

As per the complaint, Marak allegedly dragged the woman to a hotel room and raped her.
