Parihar gang member shot dead
Morena, MP, Sep 16 (UNI) A member of dreaded dacoit Jagjivan Parihar gang -- active in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh -- and carrying a reward of Rs five lakh was shot dead in a police encounter this evening in Pagara forest at Jaura area in the district, police said.
City Superintendent of Police Jaiveer Singh Bhadoria said Gwalior special task force received information that dacoit Rajendra Parihar, who carried a reward of Rs 10,000 on his head, was carrying supplies meant for the gang.
Following the tip-off, special task force and Morena police cordoned off Rajendra in the forest. On being challenged, the dacoit opened fire and was killed in ensuing encounter.
Two guns and spent A K 47 cartridges were seized from the deceased dacoit.
