'Pak should take all steps to prevent terror'

Chennai, Sept 16: Vice-Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen S Pattabhiraman today urged Pakistan to take all steps to prevent cross border terrorism (CBT).

Talking to reporters after reviewing the Passing-out Parade at the Officers Training Academy here, he said, ''our neighbouring country should take necessary steps to prevent terrorism.'' ''They should dismantle the infrastructure facilities, including communication, which were available to the terrorists,'' he added.

On the growth of Naxalism in the country, especially in the North-Eastern States, Lt Gen Pattabhiraman said the Army was keeping a close watch over it and was confident that civilian armed police would be able to suppress the extreme left wing terrorism.
