Naxalite commanders surrender
Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, Sep 16 (UNI) Police today claimed to have arrested two Area Commanders of CPI (Maoist) naxalites , while two ultra associates surrendered before the police.
Naxalite leaders Sachin and Goutam, who carried a reward of Rs 45,000 each and were wanted in about a dozen of cases including murder, loot, rioting and attack on police, were detained four days ago in Chirimiri under Koriya district's Balrampur area. They were formally arrested yesterday, Superintendent of Police S P Kalluri said.
Both were engaged in organisational work when they were taken into custody.
Two youth- Bil Ram and Rajesh- reportedly associated with naxalites for two years, surrendered before the police in Rajpur police station area of Sarguja district yesterday. They were involved in few incidents of loot and arson.
