Muslims in Ahmedabad protest Pope's remarks

Ahmedabad, Sep 16 (UNI) Members of the Muslim community today gathered here in large numbers in Juhapura area of the city to protest against Pope Benedict's remarks on Prophet Mohammad.

Demanding an apology from the Pope, Mr Nadeem Syed of the Juhapura Hitrakshak Samiti said, ''What the Pope said is totally unacceptable and insinuatory in nature. He should apologise to the Muslims of the world.'' They took out a march in the area, holding flags and banners, and shouted slogans condemning the Pope.
