Muslims condemn Pope Benedict's statement on Islam in Surat

Surat, Sep 16 (UNI) A representive body of Muslim community members under the leadership of Jama-at-ulaima, today protested against Pope Benedict 14th's recent statement on Islam.

A delegation consisting around 60 muslim community members submitted a memorandum to the district collectorate.

The spokesperson of the delegation said that they wanted to register a peaceful protest against the Pope's statement, sources said.
