'Misdeeds committed by others in Nizam's name painful'
Gulbarga, Sep 16 (UNI) Prince Fazal-ja-Bahuddur, son of 17th Nizam Mir-Ushaman-Alikhan, today said the misdeeds committed in the name of the Nizam by some people were painful.
Addressing a press conference here, he pointed out that they were running 135 trusts, serving people irrespective of religion.
Allaying doubts on the exact date when the Hyderabad-Karnataka region was liberated from the Nizam's tyranny, he said, quoting historians, that it was indeed September 17, 1948.
The Nizam's descendant was here to participate in the Liberation day celebrations tomorrow, to be attended by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa too.
Meanwhile, the CPI(M) and BSP have opposed the celebration, besides the participation of the descendant of the Nizam.
