Life terms to 7 in triple-murder case

Lalitpur, Sep 16 (UNI) A court today pronounced life imprisonment to seven accused in a triple-murder case of the district.

According to prosecution, Udaipal Singh, Samar Singh and Sipendra Singh were beaten to death in Mirchvara village on July 1, 2004.

Later, a case was registered against Ram Singh, Rampal, Harendra, Jandail, Hazrat Singh, Deepa and Dharmendra.

A boy of the victims' family had eloped with the kin of the accused, following which there was enmity between them.

District and sessions judge Umesh Chandra awarded life sentence to all the seven accused and imposed a penalty of Rs 1,000 each.
