Kerala Assembly session to begin from Sep 18
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 16 (UNI) The second session of the 12th Kerala Legislative Assembly will begin from September 18.
Speaker K Radhakrishnan told a news conference that the 26-day session would conclude on October 26.
He said bills replacing 16 ordinances would be presented during the session. The Shop and Establishment Workers' Bill would be presented on the opening day.
The session would also have budget discussion and demands for grants for various departments.
Mr Radhakrishnan said a two-day orientation course for members would be held on October three and four. Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee would inaugurate the course.
He said on the lines of Lok Sabha proceedings, Kerala was also planning to introduce certain control to the visual media.
It was proposed to provide visuals to channels, so that news aired by them would be the same. However, it would not harm media freedom, he added.
