Jeev tied 19th after 3rd round at ANA Open
Sapporo, Sep 16 (UNI) Thanks to his dipping form, Jeev Milkha Singh's prospects of a top-10 finish seem quite bleak after the highest ranked Indian golfer returned a poor card of one-over 72 to finish tied 19th after the penultimate round of the ANA Open here today.
The UBS Asian Tour Order of Merit leader Jeev had kicked off his campaign at the Sapporo Golf Club's Wattsu Course with a sedate round of 68 but stuttered to 71 in the second and it was worse today as he struggled with the par-four holes again.
Things looked quite good for the Indian who began with a birdie, picked up another shot on the fifth and approached the par-five ninth at the ninth only to drop a bogey there.
Back-to-back bogeys awaited him in his back nine, at 12th and 13th, and he could not celebrate the birdie on the 17th either after signing off with another dropped shot.
Meanwhile, Tomohiro Kondo (72) was joined by Yoshinobu Tsukada (68) at the top of the table at eight-under 205.
