Invent technologies for sustained growth in agriculture
Samastipur, Sep 16 (UNI) Bihar Governor R S Gavai today urged the agriculture scientists to develop advanced technologies and explore possibilities to enhance agricultural growth.
Inaugurating a workshop on agriculture scientists at Rajendra Agricuture University here, Mr Gavai said balanced use of fertilisers and efficient nutritional management are two important aspects for growth of this sector.
He stressed on the need for organic farming, integrated management of insects, pests and diseases affecting crops.
''Research on micro nutrients, soil and plant pollutants would go a long way, ensuring prosperity to Indian farmers, who suffer huge losses due to damage of crops by various kinds of insects and pests,'' he added.
About 200 agriculture scientists are participating in the three day work shop on 'Micro Nutrients, soil and plant pollutants'.
