HM militant surrendered in Doda
Jammu Sep 17 (UNI) A militant of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) today surrendered before the security forces at Gai in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, a Defence Spokesman said.
Sher Mohhamed, resident of Manjani, laid down his AK rifle, three magazines and 90 rounds ammunition before the security forces.
Meanwhile, security forces recovered two 12 bore rifles from a hideout in the district.
In another incident, the special operations group busted a hideout at Hiltak forest area early today and recovered one 60 mm mortar with base plate sight mount and bipot, one pika gun, one UBGL, one RPG launcher, 400 rounds of pika ammunition, five packets of explosives, three anti personal mines, one chinese hand grenade, two denonators, two IED devices, ten IED, 27 detonators and one RPG booster.
Security forces also succeeded in busting a manmade hideout inside a house in Thanamandi area of Poonch today and recovered two chinese hand grenades, one AK magazine and 22 AK rounds.
