Establishment day of Sainik School celebrated

Koderma, Sep 16 (UNI) Sainik School Tilaya in Jharkhand's Koderma district established in 1963 today completed 43 years of its establishment.

Outlining the achievements on this ocassion principal Mahesh Kandpal said the students of the institution were serving the nation specially in the Indian Army.

He said contribution of Tilayans in the army has added a feather to the institution's cap.

He said the sacrifices of Lt Shailendra Kumar in operation blue star in Golden temple and martyrdom of Major Chandra Bhushan Diwedi in operation Vijay in Kargil hills would always be remembered.

Floral tributes were paid to the soldiers, who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
