Congress forms study teams to ensure proper drought relief

Bangalore, Sept 16 (UNI) Karnataka Pradesh Congress (I) Committee President Mallikarjun Kharge today said that the party had set up division-wise study teams to observe the proper implementation of drought relief and other programmes by the present coalition government.

Mr Kharge told reporters here today that the teams would tour their respective revenue divisions affected by the natural calamities and create awareness among the people about the lapses committed by the government in this regard.

Stating that the teams would study the utilisation of the funds he said they would also pressurise the administration to take up the works on a war footing.

He also welcomed the holding of the session of the both Houses of the Legislature in Belgaum.
