Come out of pseudo sensations, writer tells jurnos
Mysore, Sep 16 (UNI) Noted writer K T Gatti today called upon the journalists to rise above pseduo sensations and concentrate more on realistic and relevent issues concerning the society.
Speaking after inaugurating a two-day National seminar on Media and Human Development, organised joinly by Amica India and Mysore District Journalists Association here, he said the scribes seemed obsessed with sensationalising news than addressing the probems dogging the people. It was unfortunate that media was commercalised and people were slowly losing interest in reading newspapers or watch Television news, he said.
Hyping up of the CD fiasco of suspended BJP MLC Janardhana Reddy had converted the episode into a virtual teleserial. "Please realise that common man is not interested to see or read mudslinging between politicians," he said.
The recommendations to be drafted during the seminar would be submitted to the state government.
