BSP state-level conference in Tiruchirapalli

Tiruchirapalli, Sep 16 (UNI) The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will organise a one-day state-level conference here to celebrate the birth anniversary of Thanthai E V Periyar tomorrow.

In a press release here today, BSP National Secretary Suresh Mane said the conference would deliberate on several issues pertaining to empowerment of Dalits, Tribals, Backward Class and Most Backward Class people in the state.

Prominent scholars, activists and political leaders would attend the conference, he said.

Dr Mane, who is also the Party National coordinator of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Pondicherry said the BSP would contest the coming local body elections in Tamil Nadu on its own without any alliance or seat adjustment with any political party or social organisation.
