BJP, Sena to take out separate morchas in Aurangabad
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Sep 16 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena will take out two separate rallies to highlight various issues including farmers' suicides, floods and loadshedding, when the Maharashtra cabinet meet is scheduled to be held here from September 18 to 19.
The BJP will take out the morcha at the divisional commissionerate here tomorrow (September 17), which will be led by senior party leader Gopinath Munde.
The Shiv Sena, on the other hand, has organised a separate morcha on Monday (September 18). It will be led by its Executive President Uddhav Thackeray.
Mr Munde's 15-day tour 'Goda Parikrama' was started on August 31 and it would end here tomorrow with the morcha.
The BJP has been insistent on rehabilitation of the flood-affected people in the Marathwada region in line with the rehabilitation of the 1993 earthquake-affected people.
It has also been demanding for withdrawal of loadshedding, grants to the flood-affected farmers, insurance cover to the crops in the drought-prone areas of the Marathwada.
Meanwhile, the Sena's morhca called 'condemnation morcha' will begin from Kranti Chowk locality of the city and will culminate at Saraswati Bhuwan College, Aurangpura.
Among the prominent persons who are likely to participate in the morcha include former Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi, Leader of opposition in the state Legislative Assembly Ramdas Kadam, Subhash Desai and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut.
Sena MP Chandrakant Khaire said the aim of the rally is to condemn the Democratic Front (DF) government for its failure to address the public issues and development.
