Bangalore, Sep 16 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded here at 0830 hours today.

The heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka during next 24 hours.

The monsoon was active over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.

Agumbe recorded very heavy rainfall of 14 cms.

Other heavy rainfall amounts (cm) : Sindagi 10; Indi 8; Karwar, Honavar, Bhagamandala 7 each.

Other chief amounts of rainfall (cm) : Kollur, Lingasugur, Afzalpur, Kammardi, Virajpet 6 each; Kumta, Kundapur 5 each; Siddapura, Belthangadi, Manvi, Nalwatwad, Tikkota, Hosanagar 4 each.

Forecast valid until the Monday: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few place over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers forecast : Moderate to heavy rain may occur at many places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada districts; at a few places over Belgaum, Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, Koppal, Bagalkote, Bidar, Gulbarga, Raichur, Shimoga, Chikmagalur, Kodagu, Bellary, Davanagere districts. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over the remaining districts of the State.
