10 years sentence for gangrape accused

Bikaner, Sep 16 (UNI) A fast track court here has sentenced four people accused of gang rape to 10 years rigorous imprisonment.

The victim had lodged the case at Bajju police station two years ago. According to the victim, she and Her husband were sleeping outside their hut when four people-Nakhtaram, Arjunram, Patram and Bhanwarlal Meghwal forcibly took them inside the hut.

She said in her complaint that while Nakhtaram raped her, Patram threatened and held back her husband with a knife. Arjunlal and Bhanwarlal kept a vigil outside the hut.

Later Patram and others also raped her. These four also threatened to murder her.

After the Bajju police station produced the FIR of the case, a petition was filed on behalf of the victim before the magistrate, who directed that action be taken on the case. Later this case was shifted to a fast track court.
